DIVISIONS:
- Open (Advanced level players)
- U-1000 (Intermediate level players)
- U-500 (beginner level players)
- U-300 (players who just started chess)
TIME/LOCATION:
- Saturday, March 18th
- 1-4 pm
- Keller Williams Prestige Properties
- 2777 Summer Street, 7th Floor, Stamford, CT
SCHEDULE/ROUNDS TIMES:
- 1-3:30 pm- Tournament (5 rounds if time permits)
- We may reduce the rounds to finish the tournament on time.
- 4:00 pm – Prize Ceremony
- 1st Round starts at 1:00 pm. Please arrive 15 min. early
- Subsequent rounds as soon as the previous round finishes.
- Swiss pairing (winners play winners format, no elimination)
TIME CONTROL:
- 25 mins, 5 delay
PRIZES:
- Trophies to Top 3 in each section
- All participants will earn a DIG sticker as a consultation prize.
FUN ACTIVITIES FOR PARENTS:
- We will have different stations for Parents to check out while their kids are playing chess!
- Station #1: Real Estate. You can learn more about buying, selling, renting, or investing in a property. You can also learn more about careers in Real Estate.
- Station #2: Financial Planning. We will have a Financial Advisor present who can discuss college savings, retirement plans, investments, life insurance, and any other financial questions.
- Station #3: DIG CHESS. In this station, we will tell you all about us and share all our wonderful programs! We will also discuss careers options with DIG.
TO PAY:
- $60.00 – Tournament for the Child and Stations for the parents (no limit on # of parents/relatives)
