Tuesdays 5:15-6:45 at the DIG Complex
DIG Battles and Beyond is a combo of discussing battles throughout history and playing the board game Risk. For 45 minutes, Coach Dan teaches about a battle in history, discussing the key characters at that time, the political powers and battle tactics used that won or lost for each side. Students are encouraged to add facts and ask questions so that it’s more of a conversation, rather than a lecture. For the next 45 minutes, Dan runs a Risk game where the students are taught to think strategically in a game that involves probability, alliances and planning. Dan has years of experience running classes like this. He even brought a group of his Battles and Beyond students to Europe to visit places like Normandy, Verdun and Waterloo.
Coach Dan will be running this class each week.
