Coach Charlie Dipasquale

Coach Charlie grew up in Weston, CT and attended each school in the Weston Public School system from Hurlbutt through Weston High School. He played youth soccer and baseball, and played high school football, basketball, and lacrosse.

All the while he excelled in multiple AP courses and maintained a 4.0 GPA, earning induction into the National Honor Society. He was also the student body president and participated in various community service projects.

After a breakout basketball season as senior captain at Weston, Charlie attended Cheshire Academy, a private college preparatory school in Cheshire, CT, to help garner more attention from college basketball coaches.

After winning the NEPSAC championship with Cheshire, Charlie attended Bowdoin College, one of the top academic private institutions in the nation, to continue his basketball career. There he majored in Economics and minored in Education.

During Charlie’s career at Bowdoin, he helped the team finish 2nd in the NESCAC and nearly secure an NCAA tournament bid. He was awarded the William J. Fraser Bowdoin basketball trophy for leadership his senior year. He was also chairman of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event on campus and a member of the Bowdoin Finance club. During his education courses at Bowdoin, Charlie spent time at local nursery and elementary schools in southern Maine, observing alternative learning methods focused on free play.

After college, Charlie worked as a Cabin Leader at a renowned summer camp in Maine that he used to attend, before working various corporate jobs in finance and sales in New York City. 

Charlie’s ability to work well with kids stems from his love for his own three younger brothers, whom he has helped mentor and tutor growing up.
